High-Rises: Not Just for Big Cities


Does it have to be 20 stories or greater to change your strategies and tactics?

A high rise building doesn’t have to be a 20-story tower in the middle of a dense, urban area. In fact, any building taller than 3 stories is generally classified a high-rise. This means that even if your response area is more rural or suburban than urban, you probably still have high-rises in it—and that means you need to be prepared for the different fire attack strategies high-rises require.
